3. US pro Ellery Hollingsworth, who took third in the recent US Open halfpipe, never travels without her skateboard - which may or may not have a cupcake on it (interview in the Conneticut Post)

 

4. Park City in Utah is feeling the effects of the recession.  The resort's taking in January 2009 were down 23% on the same period last year. The shelves of the resort's stores also stayed full as people resisted the season's new snow gear. (from the Salt Lake Tribune)
