| Jesse and "the Jacket" on The Bachelorette |
I'm totally shocked - our boy "pro snowboarder" Jesse Csincsak WON!!! Who could have imagined that she'd pick the guy who thought this jacket was a good idea? Now they're engaged. Crazy! After she accepted, DeAnna said "I cannot believe I'm going to marry the guy with the pink shoelaces."
Now I'm watching The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose. They're saying the happy couple has a surprise announcement! Ok..so it's a slow night for tv for me. The Yankees are off tonight.
What's the big announcement? They set a wedding date - May 2009. That was totally not worth watching an extra hour for.

| Jesse on ABC's The Bachelorette |
Anyway, his name is Jesse Csincsak and you might recognize him from the snowboarding episode of MTV's Made. The Morning Journal has an article about him.
If you are a big Bachelorette fan then you might want to stop reading here. **SPOILER ALERT** On the first episode they eliminated half of the men. I didn't watch but from the website I can tell that Jesse made the cut! This was kind of surprising giving the outfit they show him wearing in stills from the first episode. Nice jacket Jesse.

If you’re in the Swedish capital between April 10 and May 5, make sure you drop by the Galleri Jonas Kleerup.
Snowboard photographer Vincent Skoglund has an exhibition there called Lightyears. It’s not a specifically snowboard-themed show but will be a chance to see what other strings he has to his bow.
The gallery is located at Tegnergatan 18.
Check out his other work at www.vincentskoglund.com

I don't know why I'm posting this under the entertainment heading - mind you the sight of me hobbling 26.2 miles round London April 13 will be quite an entertaining one I'm sure! Well as the editor of this thing I guess one of the perks has to be being able to write what the hell I like here - and that includes a plea for sponsorship.
I'm trying to raise some money for a brilliant organisation called the Princess Royal Trust for Carers. It does fantastic work helping and supporting people who care for sick, elderly and disabled relatives. That includes some of the one million children in the UK who have to help care for family members - giving them someone to talk to, centres to visit for support and grants to help make their lives a little easier.
If you can spare a couple of quid to support this great cause - and help motivate me to get round the course and not sack off to the pub after 9 miles - then please visit www.justgiving.com/luciemclean

Ski Sunday is returning to BBC2 on Sunday January 20
The show is no longer the lycra-loving ski racing report it was many years ago, there are plenty travel features and good stuff for snowboarders courtesy of Ed Leigh. The season schedule is available on the BBC website, so you can see the contents of each show, and if you’re in the UK you’ll be able to watch it online afterwards.
The first episode, featuring a snowboarding trip to Russia, is on BBC Two at 7pm.

Snowboarder magazine has a pretty unusual cover coming up in December. It features DC Shoes co-founder and Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block hitting a jump in Snow Park NZ on his car, alongside rider Torstein Hargmo.
New features were created in the park so that the riders could use the car as a tow. Block also jumped over 70 feet in his vehicle – as seen on the cover.
Find out more and check out the cover shot at Rally Sports Magazine.

The latest James Bond film hits the screens in late 2008 and rumour has it that Daniel Craig is learning to ski for his part in the film.
A source told The Sun newspaper that much of the movie – known currently as Bond 22 - will be filmed partly in the Swiss Alps.
Previous Bond stars Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan all displayed their snow skills during their time in 007’s shoes.

According to a new survey by lastminute.com, Brits have got around £170million of foreign currency lying around their homes from holidays and other trips abroad.
Four out of ten people polled said they have up to £35 in Euros lying at the bottom of their sock drawer, whilst 11% revealed they had more than £35 worth of Euros.
The weakness in the US dollar against the pound means that fewer are hanging on to these – only 11% have up to $50 at home, while 14% have more than $50.
Almost 20% of those surveyed also collect other lesser used currencies such as the Moroccan Dirham and the Thai Baht as souvenirs of their trips.
John Bevan, Managing Director at lastminute.com UK said “This trend demonstrates that Britons are taking more trips per year than ever before. It is indeed more convenient and better value to keep foreign currencies for forthcoming trips.
“The fact that 11% keep more than 50 euros and that 14% have more than $50 at home is a proof of this, a few years ago when people came back from trips abroad with a fairly large sum of money they would rush to the foreign exchange to get pounds back, now they don’t.”
