Roxy Glacier Park at Kitzsteinhorn now open


The Roxy Glacier park on Kaprun’s glacier plateau opened for the season in mid-October.

The area – the first Roxy-sponsored park in the world – is 2,900 metres above sea level and is will have new features added to it over the next few days.

There is already a pro line with a double kicker combo with 14- and 8-metre tables each. The easy line with four five-metre kickers is also open as are five rails and boxes.

More obstacles will be added until there are 11 jumps and 12 rails and boxes.

At the end of November, also the DC Central Park at Sonnenkarbahn chair lift and the easy park will open.

The first event of the season in the park has just taken place. The TTR Boot Camp saw Ticket to Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour CEO Drew Stevenson personally coaching the invited rookie riders.

The new website www.snowpark.kitzsteinhorn.at supplies riders with all news about the current state of the park.

In addition, there are interactive maps of the parks with facts and pictures of the obstacles as well as news and pictures delivered directly by the shapers.

There are also park videos and information on events, weather forecast and ticket prices.
