Paulina Ligocka and Peetu Piiroinen win Burton European Open Halfpipe titles

Poland's Paulina Ligocka and Finland's Peetu Piiroinen have won the 11th Burton European Open halfpipe event.  Each will take home US$ 15.000 in prize-money and also important pointstowards the BGOS and TTR rankings.

Peetu Piiroinen and Enni Rukajärvi win Burton European Open Slopestyle

Finnish riders Peetu Piiroinen and Enni Rukajärvi were the big winners of an exciting slopestyle finals at the Burton European Open. Peetu claimed his 3rd BEO title; while Enni secured her first win at the BEO. Both earned US$ 15.000 prize-money, 8.000 BGOS points as well as 1.000 TTR points.

19-year-old Finn Enni Rukajärvi wins Roxy Chicken Jam

In a high-class competition, Enni Rukajärvi took victory at the 7th Roxy Chicken Jam 2010 at Saalbach Hinterglemm. At the world’s biggest snowboard event for girls only, the 19-year-old Finn won over double Roxy Chicken Jam champ Cheryl Maas (NED) and Norwegian Kjersti Buaas Oestgaard who took second and third.

11th Burton European Open kicks off with junior slopestyle finals

The 11th Burton European Open Snowboarding Championships started its week-long "Circus" show on Saturday with the junior slopestyle competition in Laax, Switzerland. 54 little rippers up to 14 years old from fourteen nations were competing today up on Crap Sogn Gion.

Countdown to the 11th Annual Burton European Open in Laax

The 11th annual Burton European Open (BEO) is kicking off in about two weeks. The BEO is the second stop of the 2009/2010 Burton Global Open Series (BGOS) and a Swatch TTR 6Star event. Top riders and amateurs from around the world are getting ready to compete in the biggest snowboarding event in Europe from January 9 to 16, 2010.

Arctic Challenge postponed until March

 The 6Star Oakley Arctic Challenge was due to take place in Oslo over the new year. Sadly warmer temperatures than normal over the last couple of months have made it impossible for the organisers to produce enough snow in time so the event has been postponed and will be held in March instead. Confirmed date to come when we have it. 

Nikita launching Nikita Chickita Swiss Tour

Nikita are launching a new series of girls only events in Switzerland this winter. The first Nikita Chickita Swiss Tour will hit five Swiss resorts.. Five slopestyles, one rail contest and photoshoots are planned.  The NCST 09-10 will start in December and finishes in March. The first qualifying set will be held on January 16 in Villars (VD).

Marko Grilc is new Swatch TTR tour leader after Air & Style

After a night full of action on the big air jump at the 6Star Billabong Air & Style on Saturdayat the Bergisel Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, Marko Grilc (SLO) took the top spot on the podium and is now the new leader on Swatch TTR  World Tour.
