How did you get involved with Dropstitch?
It’s my friend Lesley McKenna who does the film, so she knew that I always wanted to film for a snowboard project - especially for a girls project!

What do you think the riders and the viewers will get out of the film?

I hope the viewers will see how girls snowboard, how they travel and what they do when they’re not on a snowboard and for sure the level of girls snowboarding! The riders will hopefully learn a lot of new tricks, because they push each other so much by riding together. And also it maybe opens a new market for female snowboarding.

Have you done much filming before?

I filmed a couple things with the guys, but it was so hard, because everything is to extreme and too big! You are always a side attraction!

How important is it to you to get on film?
I just think it’s an other way of performing and as I already did so much competing its just something a always wanted to try. It’s way harder then anything else I’ve done in snowboarding before, so it’s a challenge!

You were heavily involved in the organization of the Roxy Chicken Jam in Innsbruck in January 2004 – how did that come about?
I wanted to do something for women’ s snowboarding for a while and I just found the right partners with Matthias Hoffmann (planning) and Mellow (park builder) to do it! It was about time, because last year it was hard as a woman to find a good contest where they let you compete in it!

What did you hope to achieve with the contest ?
I wanted to give women’s snowboarding a platform to perform in a park that is designed for them and where they are not just a side event!

Where are you going to be based this forthcoming season?
I will travel around Europe in the beginning of the season and then maybe going to the States for a bit! I am based nowhere, because I have to many different things going on!

What are you most looking forward to this season?
Can’t wait for filming with the girls and having fun with all my friends!

What’s the best place you’ve been snowboarding?

Until now the most incredible place was Iceland, not especially for riding but just for the atmosphere! It was a girls trip to, the first one for the
Dropstitch crew, it was so good!

Do you think coverage of women’s snowboarding and the products made for us are improving enough?

I think it’s getting better, although it is still very hard to get coverage in a magazine! I think all that is going to change slowly now, because we
try to change it and it’s just us - the female riders - that can change that!

What’s been the highlight of your riding career so far?

I think that I enjoy every moment of my career and every travel I do is a highlight for me!

Who inspires you?
N ature and my friends! I think there where a couple different riders where I got a lot of inspiration from, for example Pauline Richon and Joni
Malmi.

Who are your favourite up and coming riders?
I think the Australian rider Torah Bright and Hampus Mosesson from Sweden.

Do you ever ride with minidisc/iPod tunes? What might you have on your soundtrack to the perfect day in the mountains?
I never ride with music, but I love music for before and after riding. I listen to what ever I feel like at a day. Why not REO Speedwagon, “Keep on
loving you”!

What are the best and worst things about being a pro rider?
The best thing is travelling and doing for a living what you want to do every day! The worst thing is not being able to see your boyfriend as much as you want and living out of a bag all the time!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
If you want to snowboard professionally then do it, but do it right! From my mum when I told her that I start travelling for snowboarding and giving up my normal job!
Be yourself!

Are you involved in their product development at all?
They ask me from time to time what I think!

What board(s) are you riding at the moment and what do you like about it/them?
I ride a Roxy Board it's actually the same base then a Gnu Board and they are just very easy and soft and I like that a lot! I like them to because they are quiet narrow and I have very small feet, so that helps too!

When did you start snowboarding and how did you get in to it?
I started 15 years ago in my home resort Flumserberg in Switzerland. I saw this guy riding down the mountain with a snowboard and I wanted to try it straight away. As soon as I stood on it I knew it was my sport!

Tell us a secret about another pro rider…
It’s good to know not everything….I’m sorry….!
